I recently flew First Class with Thai Airways from London to Bangkok, and it left me questioning why Thai First isn’t ranked among the top 10 First Class experiences out there today! I booked the flight using 100,000 Aeroplan points 3 weeks ahead. Being a Star Alliance First Class passenger, I had access to the Singapore Airlines First Class lounge at Heathrow. It’s a chic lounge with a stylish vibe, à la carte dining and an amazing plane-watching area. It really set the tone for what was to come.
Some standout highlights from this flight: the seat was incredibly comfortable, and the food options weren’t just delicious, but beautifully presented—something you definitely expect in First Class. However, what truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding service provided by the flight attendants. The attention to detail was incredible, and the service felt incredibly personalized throughout the flight. I never once felt like I wasn’t being looked after. My drinks were topped up before they even got empty, and if I mentioned I liked something, more of it magically appeared without me even asking!
What I truly loved about the Thai First class was its consistency. This is the second time I’ve flown Thai First Class, and I was just as satisfied as the first time. I’m still puzzled why Thai Airways isn’t ranked among the top 10 First Class experiences—it absolutely deserves a spot! In fact, I think Thai First surpasses several of the experiences that do make the list.
